Significant building repairs about to begin

This summer GGH received almost $4.3 million from the provincial Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund to be used to keep our facilities in a state of good repair. Starting today, significant work will begin on the exterior and roof of the Hospital and surrounding buildings. The repairs include replacing some roofs as well as repairing and/or replacing sections of the brickwork.

The Shipping/Receiving laneway has been reduced to one lane during the repairs.

Our goal is to have all work completed by April 1, 2017. To do this, work may be occurring from as early as 7 a.m. to as late as 7 p.m., during weekdays. We will do our best to minimize any disruption. However, there will be times when it may be noisy and/or dusty or some weekend work is required. There will be no impact on our programs and services.

Taking good care of our facilities is one way we continue to live our Mission, “to provide the highest quality of care and experience for patients and their families.”
