Edward (Ted) Sehl, C.Dir., CPA, MBA
Ted Sehl is a financial executive with 35 years of experience in senior financial roles. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Hammond Manufacturing, a TSX listed company, where he chairs the audit committee. He also is former chair of the Board of the John Howard Society of Waterloo Wellington and Guelph Municipal Holdings. He joined the Guelph General Hospital Board in 2016 and is Chair of the Governance committee.
Ted started his career at McDonald's Restaurants of Canada, where he sat on the board as an Honorary Director and played a role in the start-up of the Moscow McDonald's operations. Subsequently, he became the CFO at W.C. Wood Company, an international appliance manufacturing company headquartered in Guelph, Ontario. In 2007, he helped the family shareholders sell the company to private equity investors.
Ted graduated as a Chartered Director in 2011 and currently is the founder of a Fractional CFO service, that provides strategic financial advice to businesses transitioning through start-up and turn around scenarios. Ted is also an Executive in Residence at the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
