Intensivist

With 165 beds, GGH offers a wide range of primary, secondary and selected tertiary services within a new, state-of-the-art facility. GGH is affiliated with Waterloo campus of the McMaster University Medical School with medical student and resident teaching opportunities are available.

GGH is seeking dedicated Hospital Based Internists to join their Department of Internal Medicine. This newly developed team will provide high-quality MRP care to internal medicine inpatients within our Level 2 critical care and medical units. The team also provides general internal medicine consultative services across the hospital. GGH is in the process of implementing a Closed Access ICU model, and opportunities for Intensivists are also available.

The successful candidate will be an Internist with solid interpersonal and clinical skills. The candidate must be licensed to practice in Ontario and hold a Fellowship in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Physicians with a particular interest in hematology, rheumatology, cardiology and endocrinology are particularly encouraged to apply.

GGH is seeking dedicated Intensivists to join our Intensive Care Team. This newly developed team will provide high-quality MRP care to patients within our newly created Closed Access Level 3 Critical Care Unit and also consultative services for critically ill patients across the hospital.  GGH is also in the process of implementing a Hospital Based Internist program and opportunities for internists also exist.
 
The successful candidate will be a physician, with formal critical care training and solid interpersonal and clinical skills.  The candidate must be licensed to practice in Ontario and hold a Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.  Preference will be given to internist intensivists.
