Hospital-Based Internist
Guelph General Hospital (GGH) is a comprehensive, acute care community hospital, serving the 180,000+ residents of Guelph and Wellington County in beautiful southern Ontario. The City of Guelph has been ranked as one of the top ten places to live in Canada and is recognized as Canada’s safest city. The city is home to the University of Guelph and is known for its strong arts and cultural programming, riverside parks and green spaces. With 165 beds, GGH offers a wide range of primary, secondary and selected tertiary services within a new, state-of-the-art facility. GGH is affiliated with Waterloo campus of the McMaster University Medical School with medical student and resident teaching opportunities are available. GGH is seeking dedicated Hospital Based Internists to join their Department of Internal Medicine. This newly developed team will provide high-quality MRP care to internal medicine inpatients within our Level 2 critical care and medical units. The team also provides general internal medicine consultative services across the hospital. GGH is in the process of implementing a Closed Access ICU model, and opportunities for Intensivists are also available. The successful candidate will be an Internist with solid interpersonal and clinical skills. The candidate must be licensed to practice in Ontario and hold a Fellowship in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
