Java error when connecting to Remote Access Portal

 

Environment:

 

Remote Access Portal

Windows

Mac

 

Overview:

 

The following error appears when attempting to connect to the remote access portal:

 

Application Blocked by Security Settings

 

Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running.

 

Resolution:

 

 

For Windows:

 

1.     Open Control Panel

2.     Click Java icon

3.     Select the Security Tab

4.     Click Edit Site List under the Exception Site List section

5.     Add the following sites to the list:

6.     https://remoteaccessportal.gghorg.ca

7.     https://secure.gghorg.ca

8.     https://ssl.gghorg.ca

9.     Click OK

 

Note: You may need to type Java in the Search Control Panel input field to find the icon

 

 


 

For Mac:

 

1.     Click the Apple icon on the top left of the screen

2.     Click System Preferences

3.     Click Java icon

4.     Select the Security Tab

5.     Click Edit Site List under the Exception Site List section

6.     Add the following sites to the list:

7.     https://remoteaccessportal.gghorg.ca

8.     https://secure.gghorg.ca

9.     https://ssl.gghorg.ca

10.   Click OK
