Award-winning Guelph General Hospital is a dynamic 181-bed acute care hospital with over 1,200 dedicated staff members. The Hospital is a completely renovated and remodeled facility using state-of-the-art technology and equipment to provide a full range of services to the residents of Guelph and Wellington County. Our Hospital offers a wide range of outpatient services including a paediatric mental health clinic and chemotherapy clinics.

In 2005, Guelph General Hospital was recognized as one of only four high performing Ontario hospitals in the Hospital Report-Acute Care. In addition, the results of our most recent accreditation by the Canadian Council on Health Services identified our hospital as one of a handful in Ontario receiving “full accreditation with no report.” In the final report the accreditors wrote, “… the survey revealed evidence of a high-performing organization with an engaged staff doing quality work.”

In 2006, Guelph General Hospital was one of only five Ontario hospitals to be honoured with the Ontario Hospital Association’s Healthy Hospital Innovators Award. Established in 2004, this award recognizes hospitals for their commitment to implementing a comprehensive and strategic approach to developing and sustaining a healthy work place.

The Hospital is located in Guelph, a beautiful and vibrant university city with a population of just over 127,000 located in close proximity to Toronto, London and Hamilton. Along with being one of the strongest economic regions in Canada, Guelph and surrounding area offer a wide variety of educational, cultural, recreational and sporting activities.
