Thanksgiving Day Road Races

This year, thanks to the work of our Volunteer Association, proceeds from the Thanksgiving Day Road Races will be coming to GGH. The races are on Monday, October 10, starting at 10 a.m.

These races have been held in downtown Guelph for over a 100 years. There are races for everyone. Last year, participants ranged in age from 2 to 91 years old! The races are held on a one-mile loop around Exhibition Park and are run consecutively thereby providing a great couple of hours of entertainment for both participants and spectators.
There are five races:

1. Nicolas Lambden Memorial Mile, 11 a.m.
2. 100m for 5 years and under only, 11:15 a.m.
3. 5k, open 11:30 a.m.
4. 1k for kids in grades 1 to 3 only 12:10 p.m.
5. 3k open, includes walkers 2:30 p.m.

It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours and there is something for everyone. Money raised will come through participant pledges and sponsorship.
