Fundraising that is accountable, responsible, transparent

We manage our fundraising costs wisely. The result is that our expenses are well within acceptable guidelines. Last year, we raised $2.3 million in donations. Our cost per dollar raised was 19.7 cents. Stated another way, the return on fundraising investment was 507%. Over our 20-year history, $34 million has been raised at an overall cost of 15.7 cents per dollar raised.

We’re proud of our record and of our transparency. See below for a link to our audited statements. Click here for a link to our record of the Canada Revenue Agency website.

Where our revenue came from last year:  pie_chart_4

$2 million was provided to Guelph General Hospital! Over the last two years, one in every two dollars spent by GGH on capital equipment has come from a donor.

The equipment these funds will purchase helps the hospital staff provide excellence in health care to our community every day.  It helps the Guelph General Hospital team saves lives…it makes a critical difference to the thousands of community members who pass through Guelph General Hospital’s doors each year.

Here’s what we funded:

  • Final installment to pay for MRI scanner and renovations ($320,000 this year, $3.1 million total) – more than 30,000 scans complete to date
  • Renovations in the Emergency Department including Emergency Mental Health Unit and ‘See and Treat’ area - $550,000 (MRI & More campaign)
